SOS: Save Our Sharks is an NFT collection created by Octopus&Whale. The campaign has the main focal point of promoting 200 species of sharks, with the majority being either endangered or extremely rare due to a multitude of activities severely affecting the marine biodiversity such as overfishing and the improper treatment of marine habitat.
The collection consists of 200 unique art NFTs, with each representing one of the 200 species of rare Philippine sharks, as well as species of other marine life such as rays and chimeras. All species included in the collection are based on the species recorded in a research titled “Pating Ka Ba? An ID Guide to Sharks, Batoids, and Chimaeras of the Philippines.”
